Losing weight, changing your body composition, and getting lean are challenging for many people. This is despite the fact that losing weight *sounds* like it should be extremely easy.
After all, if you’re burning more calories than you’re consuming, then you’ll lose weight, right? And that’s where the BMR and AMR calculations come in handy.
There are two major problems with this though. The first is that these calculations are not particularly accurate and leave out a lot of important information. In particular: they don’t consider hormones and individual differences (beyond weight, height, age, and sex).
The second is that counting calories is boring for many people.
I’ve found a few strategies to overcome these challenges – to help adjust the metabolic rate and activity levels, and to streamline the process of reducing calories. In particular: by doing something specific twice a day, for ten minutes each. You’ll need to watch the video to find out what, though 😉

Oh, and if you’re currently hovering at 15% bodyfat or less, I would say don’t worry too much about weight loss! Having abs is not the same as being fit/healthy. It won’t improve your performance, and it’s not worth it for a lot of people. Of course, if getting ripped is a big goal for you, you do you! Just don’t feel pressured. I’m not exactly shredded lol!
